The Avalon Singers are an all female non-profit community choir.
Our repertoire is diverse and we're open to suggestions and requests too.
Our performances have been posted on our website and YouTube. Have a look!
Rehearsals are recorded and posted weekly on the members website. Our individual parts are posted too.
We have Laurie Walker, our award-winning choral director. He makes Thursday evenings so much fun. We also have our truly amazing Accompanist - Naomi Derkson.
Our singers come from all over Victoria. Singing experience is an asset but only the love of singing
is essential. There is no formal audition - just bring your voice and love of music to add to ours! You're welcome to just try it out for a few weeks. Attend a new session in either September or January so we may all learn the new music together... but DO join!
It will make you smile! LOTS!
REHEARSE: Thursday's 7:15pm - 9:30pm January - May / September - December
COST: It's $200/yr or $100 per session due in either January or September. ($25/mth is ok too)
There is a refundable deposit for the music please and you'll need a blouse too.
Please understand that we are all 100% volunteers here - with the exception
that we've hired a fabulous Professional Pianist and Conductor.
All funds go to support our actual costs - we are a non profit.
COMMITTMENT: To regularly attend Thursday rehearsals.
